Our Mission
Mid-City Supply Co., Inc. provides Michiana contractors and industry with the highest quality plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, PVF, and industrial products. Our well-trained and friendly associates allow Mid-City's partnership philosophy to deliver the best value-added services in our markets while maintaining competitive wholesale prices.
Our History
Mid-City Supply was founded in 1947 as a retail-plumbing store on south Main Street in Elkhart, Indiana. In 1953, we moved to a new, larger location and became wholesale only. During the next 19 years, we added onto that building five different times. In 1972, we finally out-grew this facility and moved to our present distribution center in Elkhart's eastside industrial park. In 1984, we opened our Plymouth branch, and in 1989 we opened our South Bend branch. In 2003, we acquired From's Supply Company, adding two Indiana locations and one Michigan location.
Today, Mid-City Supply continues as a family owned business to serve the unique needs of our customers. Our central distribution center is still located in Elkhart, with branch locations in Plymouth, South Bend, Michigan City, Warsaw, and Jenison, Michigan.
Mid-City Supply Supports the United Way
Mid-City Supply and its associates have pledged over $20,000 in 2009 in support of the United Way agencies in our local communities.
The 2009 pledge campaign theme, We Are All In This Together, created a common goal: Let's work together to make sure that the community resources provided by United Way agencies are still there for our neighbors in need. In light of the current economic crisis, Mid-City is pleased to announce an overall increase in 2009 pledges to the United Way. Specifically we see an increase of 3% in Elkhart County, 6% in West Michigan, and 33% in St. Joseph County.
Mid-City is proud to support the United Way, and thankful to employ such generous associates. Mid-City is consistently recognized for supporting the United Way and appears in the list of Top 50 companies for pledges in Elkhart County. In addition, 5 employees of Mid-City Supply are recognized as leadership givers by the United Way.
