POSITION: INSIDE SALES

POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet and assist customers at the counter. assist customers in a professional manner. |

Input phone, fax, and in-person orders and relevant data into the eclipse system for existing customers. |
| • |
Determine proper items to be used for customer application or make substitutions for customer requested items not in stock. |
| • |
Receive, investigate, and respond in a timely and professional manner to all customer inquiries regarding products, prices, shipments, and/or complaints. |
| • |
Maintain customer calling queues and follow-up to ensure customer service level remains high. |
| • |
Assist customers with technical questions. |
| • |
Make changes, cancel, or process return orders/backorders. process warranty claims, replacement parts, and or correct errors. |
| • |
Solicit sale of new or additional products and services including telemarketing sales. |
| • |
Educate customers on products, services, promotions, events, and training. |
| • |
Analyze customer accounts using available resources. |
| • |
Receive / apply payments for merchandise sold to customer. |
| • |
Prepare designs and other specifications for customer quotes. prepare and present customer quotes. |
| • |
Attend merchandising, special promotions, and other event functions (including some evenings & weekends). |
| • |
Basic cleaning, organizing, and restocking of shelves and other branch areas such as the literature area. |

Dealing with customer account questions including credit questions. |
| • |
Assist other areas including vault, showroom, or administrative where necessary. |
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
(NOTE: To be considered for this position, the applicant should have the following qualifications.)

Previous customer service / sales / marketing experience and the proven ability to sell. |
| • |
Working knowledge of: plumbing products; construction / remodeling process; state and local building codes; hvac; hydronics. |
| • |
Very good computer and keyboarding skills (experience with eclipse system a plus). |
| • |
Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical standards, drawings, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals. |
| • |
Able to manage multiple projects on time driven schedules, good organizational skills, good follow-up skills. |
| • |
Good grammar, voice, and diction; ability to calculate figures and amounts. |
| • |
Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful). |
| • |
Positive attitude, ability to work on a team. |
| • |
Ability to build relationships with customers. |
| • |
Excellent attendance history. |
| • |
Available to work a variable schedule during the hours of 6:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday; work occasional evenings or Saturdays. |

Able to work in an open office area with exposure to customers; work unsupervised; interact with other associates; interact with customers. |

Able to read, write, and speak English; follow written and verbal instructions; make informed decisions ability to sit and stand; lift 10 pounds occasionally; vision abilities; hearing abilities; reach, handle, feel, pick, carry; use office equipment including phone. |
